Chennai: After the confirmation of the Nipah virus in Kerala, the Tamil Nadu government has stepped up inspections. The Tamil Nadu health department has instructed all districts which come in contact with Kerala borders.

At the same time Minister of Health, Veena George, informed that all precautionary measures have been taken to prevent the spread of the disease.
