Thiruvananthapuram: The government has issued a curfew in the state from Monday night. The curfew is from 10 pm to 6 am. Exemptions are granted only for essentials. May travel in case of need of emergency treatment. Accommodation of patients in the hospital is also allowed at night.
At the same time, trucks can continue to travel at night, and employees engaged in essential services are exempt from the curfew. Travel is permitted even in the event of the death of a close relative. Long-distance travelers can also travel. Passengers can travel at night by boarding a train, going to the airport or by boat, just carrying a ticket. Passengers who want to travel for any other purpose, have to get permission from the nearest police station.
The government has specially deployed senior IPS officers to the districts to coordinate covid defense activities. They will take charge tomorrow. The Additional SP will be the District Nodal Officer. They will visit various places in the districts to assess the preventive measures.
