New lockdown exemptions in kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: The lockdown rules in the state are changing drastically. The TPR-based lockdown system will be changed to take into account the number of people per thousand who are ill. If more than ten out of 1000 patients have a week, the area will be in a triple lockdown. Elsewhere, the lockdown will only be on Sundays. The shops here are open for six days. The working hours of the shops have been reduced from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Onam and Independence Day are on Sundays. There will be no weekend lockdown on those two days.

Meanwhile, the ban on gathering will continue in the state. Large areas of worship can only accommodate a maximum of 40 people. Only a maximum of 20 people is allowed at weddings and funerals.

The health minister said those who visit shops and other business establishments should take the RTPCR test or take two doses of the vaccine.

The state government is preparing to intensify the vaccination drive in the state. According to the health minister, the plan is to vaccinate one crore, people, a month. It can be given if the correct doses are received from the Central Government
The Chief Minister has written a letter to the Union Health Minister for this.

Until now, the lockdown has been based on the formation of micro-containment zones based on TPR. It’s changing that, and it’s becoming a much-criticized control model when it comes to adjusting the controls to look at how many people in 1000 have contracted the covid disease.

The all-India average is 1.3 percent. There is about 7 lakh test per million in Kerala. In India, it is only around three lakh. TPR in the state is 12 percent. At the national level, it is around six percent. The Health Minister said that the second wave of covid arrived in Kerala only late and the number of patients is increasing due to this reason.
