Thiruvananthapuram: New lockdown concessions have been announced in the state. Permission was granted to open photo studios. The studios were opened to take photos as exams, including NEET, approached. In addition, seed and fertilizer shops have been declared as essential services.

The government has decided to start Onam markets in the state from August 10. In the case of Covid, the concession was announced for the Onam market for 5 days focusing on the constituencies. The Onam kit will be distributed from July 31. The kit is available to all categories of cardholders through ration shops. The kit includes cardamom, ghee, nuts, dried calories, and jaggery. Onam markets will follow the Covid protocol.
