Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance Court will pass judgment on the 19th on the petition filed by Mathew Kuzhalnathan MLA seeking an investigation against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his daughter Veena in the Monthly payoff case. Mathew Kuzhalnadan’s demand was to order a vigilance investigation in the petition filed in the vigilance court.
Mathew had changed his position when the petition was considered the other day. With this, the court had suggested that the petitioner should first decide whether he wants court or vigilance. Then the court moved the case to 12 due to the demand that it was enough.
A complaint was lodged with Vigilance but no case was filed. Therefore, the petition demanded that the court should order a vigilance investigation. Mathew Kuzhalnadan filed the petition on February 29. The government had opposed the petition arguing that the allegations did not fall under the purview of the Vigilance Act.
