Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has said that monsoon is likely to arrive in the state today. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning for seven days in Kerala. According to this, yellow alert has been declared in 11 districts today. Yellow alert has been announced in the districts from Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode.
The Meteorological Department also informs that there is a possibility of heavy rain till June 2 due to strong westerly winds prevailing on the Kerala coast. Winds of 35 to 55 km per hour are likely to occur over south Kerala coast and central Bay of Bengal on Thursday. It is also advised not to go fishing.
