Kochi: The High Court adjourned the verdict in actor Mohanlal’s ivory case. Judgment will be given in ten days. Justice Badruddin’s bench was changed to deliver the verdict. In June 2012, the Income Tax department raided Mohanlal’s house in Thevara and found the ivory.
The government’s demand was to quash the Perumbavoor court order which rejected the government’s demand to quash the case against possession of ivory. The High Court had earlier asked whether Mohanlal had the right to approach the court demanding the withdrawal of the case.
Ivory was seized from Mohanlal’s house in 2012. The income tax department found 4 ivory from Mohanlal’s house. Krishnakumar, who handed over the ivory to Mohanlal, has also approached the High Court.
