Thiruvananthapuram: Amid allegations of corruption and abuse of power, Kerala Higher Education minister KT Jaleel on Tuesday tendered his resignation from the Pinarayi Vijayan cabinet just days after the state Lokayukta claimed that Jaleel had “abused” his post as a public servant to give favors for a relative. Jaleel handed over his resignation letter to the Chief Secretary as Chief Minster went for covid treatment. Chief Secretary handed over the letter to the Governor. In his resignation, Jaleel said that he was resigning on the grounds of moral issues. After handing over his resignation letter, Jaleel responded via Facebook.
