Kochi: The Maradu 357 film set against the backdrop of the demolition of the Maradu flat will be screened in court today. The court had stayed the release of the film following a petition filed by the builders of the demolished flats. The Ernakulam Munsiff Court on Monday said that the release date of the film would be decided after the producers approached the court again seeking permission to screen the film.
The flat makers claim that the film will affect the trial of the Maradu case which is being considered by the court. The court also ordered that no trailer or parts of the film be released. The film was scheduled to release on February 19. At the same time, director Kannan Thamarakulam alleged that the move was a conspiracy by some people who were trying to destroy the film.
