Thiruvananthapuram: In the first days of the Mandala Makaravilakku pilgrimage at Sabarimala, it was decided to admit 25,000 people daily. If there is a need to change the number, it will be discussed later and necessary steps will be taken. The review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan suggested that those with comorbidities should come to Darshan only after checking their health condition.
The virtual queue system will continue. Pilgrims will not be allowed on the forest path via Erumeli and the traditional route to Sannidhanam via Pulmedu. Bath will be allowed in Pampa. Vehicles will only be allowed to park. KSRTC buses are available from there to Pampa.
Pilgrims under the age of 10 and over the age of 65 will also be allowed entry. Admission is also open to those who have received two doses of the Covid vaccine or who have produced an RTPCR negative certificate. They will not be allowed to stay in Sannidhanam after the darshan.
Adequate toilets will be ensured at KSRTC bus stops. The salaries of cleaning workers will be increased. Smoke detectors should be installed in buildings where fire safety systems do not exist.
