There are 12 businessmen from India in the list of 500 richest people.
HCL founder Shiv Nadar, who has a net worth of $41 billion, is ranked 37th and one of Tata Sons chief Shahpur Mistry is ranked 38th. The Indian woman who made it to the list is Savitri Jindal, head of the Jindal Group. Savitri Jindal is ranked 49th with a net worth of $35.4 billion.
Sun Pharmaceuticals founder Dilip Shanghvi is at 61st position with a net worth of $31 billion. Other Indians on the list include Wipro founder Asim Premji ($29.4 billion), Bharti Airtel chairman Sunil Mittal ($25.5 billion), Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Birla ($22.9 billion) and Avenue Supermarkets chief Radhakrishnan Dhamani ($22.2 billion).
Four people have made it to the list from Gulf countries. Three of them are from Saudi Arabia. Prince Alwaleed bin Talal from Saudi Arabia is the richest Arab citizen in the list. Talal is ranked 123rd with a net worth of $17.4 billion. Suleiman Al-Habib with $11.7 billion and Mohammed Al-Amoudi with $9.22 billion assets are from Saudi Arabia.
Another prominent Gulf businessman on the list is Abdullah bin Al Ghurair from the UAE. Al Ghurair’s net worth is $9.28 billion. He is at 298th position.
SpaceX, Tesla and X boss Elon Musk topped the list. Musk has a net worth of $263 billion. Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg came in second, beating Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Mukesh Ambani is the richest man in India.
