Kottayam: Landslides in Kottayam as heavy rain continues in the state. It is reported that seven houses were damaged. The landslide occurred in Edamurak Chokkall area of Bharanganam village. There has been widespread damage in the area. No casualties have been reported at this time.
A red alert was announced in Ernakulam and Kottayam districts today due to heavy rains. Heavy rain is predicted at isolated places. Orange alert has also been declared in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Idukki districts. Yellow alert has been announced in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts.
