Thiruvananthapuram: Student concession in KSRTC buses from 2024-25 academic year online. Registration is being shifted online to avoid rush and delay in completing the registration process by visiting KSRTC units in person.
For registration, open the website https://www.concessionksrtc.com and click on the School Student Registration/ College student registration tab and enter all the required information without error and upload the certificates as per the prescribed criteria. If the application is successfully completed, a message will be sent to the given mobile number. Once the application is approved by the school, it will be approved after inspection at the concerned depot. Soon you will receive an SMS that the application has been approved and the total amount to be payed. As soon as the instruction to pay the amount is available, reach the depot and pay the amount. This way, students may know, in which day the concession card will be available.
Students can log in to the website using the username and password provided at the time of registration to track their application. If the application has been rejected for any reason, it will also be known for what reason. A tab called “Appeal Applications” has been prepared on the website itself to appeal against the rejection of the application. The concerned senior officer of the corporation will look into it and take further action.
Students can register themselves or through public service centers like Akshaya and Friends. The educational institutions which are currently not registered or not included in the list should register before June 2 by selecting School Registration/ College registration on the website https://www.concessionksrtc.com and providing the required information. The concession period is 3 months.
