Thiruvananthapuram: The first service of Kerala’s own Electric Auto Neem-G has flagged off by the Speaker. Kerala Automobiles Limited (KAL), a positioning the public company has completed the construction of its electric auto at its Neyyattinkara plant.
Kerala’s very own e-auto was its first trip from the MLA’s quarters to the assembly. Industry Minister EP Jayarajan, Transport Minister Sasheendran and Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan were the first Travelers.
In June this year, KAL received the central approval for e-auto manufacturing. This is the first time a PSU in India has obtained permission to build e-auto. The commercial production of the vehicle began in July.
This electric auto costs Rs 2.8 lakh. Of this around Rs 30,000 will be subsidized.
In one phase, KAL is expected to run 100km / h on a single charge. However, a one-time charging of up to 120 km / h has been recorded during the testing phase.
The company claims that there is no carbon pollution and the noise and noise are very low. Currently, KAL Sales of e-autos are on the way. The vehicles will then be sold to more districts through dealerships to monitor vehicle performance.
