Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala University has passed a resolution against the Chancellor, the Governor. The senate meeting of the university passed a resolution against the governor on the search committee issue.
The resolution is that the search committee has been formed unilaterally in connection with the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor.
The committee was formed without consulting the university. The resolution also demands that the Governor himself withdraw the formation of the search committee. A representative of the university will not be selected for the search committee for the time being.
The position of the university is that it is enough to think about this after the amendment of the law limiting the power of the chancellor in the assembly. However, there are indications that the Governor may take action against the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kerala if the resolution is passed.
