Thiruvananthapuram: Assembly elections in Kerala will be held on April 6. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
The date was announced by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora at a press conference at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. The Model Code of Conduct came into force today. Rupadeepak Mishra IPS will be the police observer in Kerala. A special central observer will be appointed within two days. Voting time has been extended by one hour.
Only two candidates are allowed to file the nomination. Only five people for the in-house campaign. The number of polling stations has been increased. 40,771 polling booths will be set up in Kerala. Permitted to conduct roadshows with restrictions. The maximum amount that can be spent in each constituency is 30.8 lakh. Postal voting will be allowed for those over 80 years of age.
