Thiruvananthapuram: There is a possibility of isolated rain in the state till October 31. A yellow alert was declared in seven districts. The yellow alert was issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Idukki districts. Authorities warned people to be careful as there is a possibility of heavy rain and strong winds.
Heavy showers are expected in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts tomorrow and in all districts except Kannur and Kasaragod on Saturday. The cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal has been blamed for the increase in rainfall in Kerala.
Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in at least two places. Fishermen have been advised to be vigilant.
