Kochi: The High Court has temporarily stayed the trial in the case of the murder of Dr. Vandanadas at the taluk hospital in Kottarakkara. The court stopped the reading of the charge sheet to the accused. The police have been instructed to produce the case diary. The interim order of the High Court was in an appeal filed by the accused against the dismissal of the discharge petition. The trial court rejected the release petition of accused Sandeep the other day. The defendant approached the High Court questioning this.
Vandana Das was killed during house surgery at Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital on May 10. Dr Vandana, a student of Azizia Medical College, Kollam, was killed while working as a house surgeon at Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital. The suspect was brought to the hospital by the police for treatment and stabbed the doctor to death. The accused Sandeep, who was a teacher at Nedumbana UP School in Kollam, was dismissed from his job based on the internal investigation report.
