Thiruvananthapuram: The Legislative Assembly has passed a resolution to change the name of the state to Keralam in the Constitution. The resolution to change the name of Kerala was presented in the House by the Chief Minister. The resolution was presented by the Chief Minister and unanimously approved by the Assembly.
The name of our state is mentioned as Kerala in the First Schedule of the Constitution. In the resolution, the Chief Minister stated that this House unanimously demands that necessary steps be taken under Article 3 of the Constitution to amend it as Keralam.
