Thiruvananthapuram: The monsoon is forecast to intensify in the coming days in the state. Central and northern Kerala is likely to receive heavy rainfall in the coming days. A yellow alert has been declared in seven districts tomorrow. The Central Meteorological Department has issued an alert in Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Wayanad, and Kasaragod districts.

A yellow alert will be issued in these districts on Tuesday and Wednesday in a similar manner. The rainfall in the last few days has been low. The state received only isolated rains. It is estimated that the expected rainfall in June was not received as the monsoon was weak.
Fishing is not restricted along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coast.

The Central Meteorological Department has forecast strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph in the southwestern and central-western Arabian Sea on June 27 and 30.

June 29 to July 1: The Central Meteorological Department has forecast strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph in the south-western, mid-western and northern Arabian Sea. Fishing is not allowed in these areas on the above days.
