Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of widespread rain and heavy rain at isolated places in the state in the coming days.
Orange alert announced in 4 districts today. Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts are under alert. Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts are on yellow alert.

The Central Meteorological Department has announced a yellow alert in the districts. Chance of isolated heavy rain is forecast.
Kozhikode Iruvanjippuzha and Cherupuzha rivers are overflowing. Low-lying areas on both banks were inundated. In Cherumoth, Mepayiyur and Vellore, houses were partially destroyed by fallen trees. In Chiyur, electricity was disrupted after a coconut tree fell on top of the transformer. The well fell down in Kuttiadi Vadaiyam.
