Thiruvananthapuram: Widespread heavy rains and bad weather conditions continue in Kerala. A yellow alert has been declared in eight districts today. Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts are on yellow alert today.
The warning is that there is a chance of isolated heavy rains today and heavy rains at isolated places till Saturday. The main reason for the heavy rains is the strong westerly southwesterly winds over the Arabian Sea.
According to the warning issued by the Central Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in Kerala for the next four days.
The Meteorological Department has also informed us that fishing on Kerala-Lakshadweep-Karnataka coasts is banned till Saturday.
