Thiruvananthapuram: It is getting hot again in the state. Kottayam recorded the highest temperature for the fourth consecutive day. The temperature in Kottayam is 38 degree Celsius.
3.2 degrees Celsius warmer than normal. Punalur recorded 37.5 degrees Celsius and Vellanikkara 37.3 degrees Celsius. The public should follow the summer precautions issued by the Disaster Management Authority and the Health Department, officials said.
The weather department has warned that there is a possibility of light rain in the state for the next 4 days. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts are expected to receive light rain today.
