Kochi: The High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of BJP leader P C George in the case of making hate speech during a channel discussion. The court rejected the anticipatory bail plea saying that anticipatory bail cannot be granted to P C George, who has been repeatedly making hate speech.
Earlier, the Kottayam District Sessions Court had also rejected the anticipatory bail plea in the case. Subsequently, the anticipatory bail plea was approached in the High Court. The bench of Justice Kunhikrishnan concluded the hearing the other day.
P C George’s argument was that he made a mistake in making the hate speech. P C George’s controversial remark was that Muslims in India are communalists and have killed thousands of Hindus and Christians. During a channel discussion, P C George had also said that Muslims should go to Pakistan.
