Idukki: UDF hartal on November 28 in Idukki. The hartal has raised building bans, buffer zones, and land issues. The hartal is on the day when Minister P Rajeev is visiting Idukki.
The hartal is from 6 am to 6 pm. Necessary services like milk, newspaper, hospital and Sabarimala pilgrims have been exempted from the hartal.
The strike committee demanded that the Minister be prepared to withdraw the orders of the Secretaries of the Revenue and Local Self-Government Department prohibiting the granting of permission for building construction. The strike committee said that they will not allow any attempt to make a fool of the people of Idukki.
