Thiruvananthapuram: Concession on lockdown for three days from today in the state in observance of Eid. According to the government order, the restrictions have been relaxed today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow for celebrating Bakrid. The concession on Sunday comes after a long time. Therefore, the authorities have made it clear that the public should be wary of concessions.
The concession was given today at the weekend lockdown because of the demand of the traders for more concessions in observance of Eid. More businesses can be open today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow. In addition to the shops selling essential items, there will also be licenses for clothing shops, shoe stores, electronics shops, fancy shops, and gold shops.
Permission is granted until 8 p.m. The exemptions are applicable within the limits of A, B, and C local bodies. Concessions have been granted in the D category local body limits for observing the festival for one day tomorrow.
Further exemptions will come into effect from tomorrow in the A and B category areas. Electronic shops, electronics repair shops, and home improvement stores will be open from Monday to Friday. The work permit is from 7 am to 8 pm.
However, liquor stores will not be open in the state today due to a lack of clarity in the government order regarding exemptions.
