Kochi: The court will hear the anticipatory bail petition filed by actor Dileep in the attempted conspiracy case again tomorrow.
The High Court has postponed consideration of Dileep’s bail application to Thursday. The prosecution told the court that Dileep was not cooperating with the investigation.
Dileep should be questioned in custody and the ban on arrest should be lifted. The prosecution said that it was a matter of deciding the terms of the case and that it was unheard of. The prosecution also demanded that Dileep’s phone be handed over to the crime branch.
The prosecution also alleged that the phones were sent to Mumbai to sabotage the case. The court observed that the replacement of the phones was seen as non-cooperation. Meanwhile, six mobile phones, including that of actor Dileep, were handed over to the high court in a murder case.
The phones were handed over to the Registrar General in a sealed box as per the directions of the High Court. Dileep’s lawyer Phillips T Varghese handed over the phones to Registrar General P Krishnakumar.
The six phones, which were brought to the High Court at 10 am, were delivered to the Registrar General’s office at 10 am. Among the items handed over were Dileep’s two iPhones and a Vivo phone. The phone used by cousin Appu was the sixth phone handed over.
