Kochi: The anticipatory bail petition of Dileep in the case of conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress has been postponed till tomorrow.
The case was adjourned till 1.45 pm tomorrow. Prosecution arguments will take place tomorrow.
Dileep’s lawyer B Raman Pillai told the court that the case against him was completely fabricated. The case was heard by Justice P Gopinath. Raman Pillai, who appeared for Dileep, argued for two hours today. The High Court asked both the parties to complete the arguments expeditiously. The court ruled that the case could not be extended and that there was talk of prolonging the case unnecessarily.
The conspiracy is said to have taken place within the confines of the Aluva police station. The information had to be provided to the SHO. But Dileep asked the court why the information was passed on to B. Sandhya in this case. The ADGP registered the FIR on the basis of only one letter. The conspiracy case was prepared by a meeting of officials in the case of the attack on the actress. Dileep claimed that the case was fabricated due to the animosity of the investigating officer.
Dileep also asked the court not to believe the 161 statements related to the case. Balachandra Kumar is a person who is very hostile towards Dileep. That is why such an allegation has come to the fore in the final stages of the trial of the case in which the actress was attacked. Defendant also demanded that this statement should never be taken for granted.
Meanwhile, actor Dileep’s phones will be sent to Thiruvananthapuram for investigation in the case of conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officer. The test will be conducted at the forensic lab in Thiruvananthapuram. The Aluva Magistrate’s Court issued the order this morning.
The Aluva Magistrate’s Court granted permission to the Crime Branch’s request that the phones be subjected to a scientific examination. Dileep handed over the pattern locks and password to the court to unlock the phones.
