Kochi: The high court on Monday directed Dileep and his co-accused to hand over the phones requested by the crime branch in connection with the conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. Justice P Gopinath rejected Dileep’s request for more time to produce the phone.
The order is to hand over the phone to the High Court Registry on Monday at 10.15 am. The court warned that if this was not complied with, the protection given to Dileep from arrest would be withdrawn. Dileep’s lawyer said the phone was in Mumbai and needed more time to produce it. But the court made it clear that this could not be allowed.
