Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that covid is under control in the state. He said the growth rate of new cases was 13% and the number of serious cases was declining.
The number of survivors has increased. More than one crore people in the state have taken 2 dose vaccines. He said senior citizens should not be reluctant to take the vaccine and such a situation should be avoided.
At the same time, the CM said that strict action will be taken against those who do not wear masks and no concessions will be allowed in this regard.
Currently, out of 1,61,026 Covid cases, only 13.3 percent are admitted to hospitals/field hospitals. It has been confirmed today that 142 deaths in the last few days were due to covid-19. This brings the total death toll to 24,039.
