Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Minister has said that public places should not be used for exercise as the spread of Covid is intensifying in the state. He also said that the use of public places for exercise such as walking, running and various sports should be strictly avoided and the house and home environment should be used. The police will be directed to resolve the travel difficulties faced by the mercenaries and domestic workers in some places.
Police have been instructed that vehicles carrying essential items such as oxygen and medicines should not be obstructed on the road. A police escort will be provided for such vehicles if required. A nodal officer will be appointed at the district level to facilitate their removal. The ADGP will be responsible for monitoring the situation at the state level. The work of ward-level committees and the Rapid Response Team will be further strengthened. These will be fully operational.
It has already been suggested that those going to public places should wear two masks. But many do not follow this suggestion. Such instructions are given to protect one’s health and to prevent the spread of the disease to others. It must be strictly adhered to. Visitors to the market and other retail establishments and employees should keep a distance of at least two meters from each other. Every effort is being made by the government to increase the surge capacity of the healthcare system.
However, it is important to note that this is not the case. Right now, all health workers are working under great pressure. It is important to look no further. If the spread of the disease is so high that this type of care may not be possible. Therefore, the CM said that it is the responsibility of society as a whole to ensure that such a situation does not arise.
