Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister Dr.T M Thomas Isaac test COVID positive. The disease was confirmed today by a COVID antigen test. With this, the employees of the minister’s staff have been placed under surveillance. After COVID confirmed to Thomas Isaac, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan went into self-monitoring.
Thomas Isaac was present at the CPM Secretariat meeting attended by the Chief Minister. Other leaders who attended the meeting also went into observation. CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, ministers KK Shailaja and EP Jayarajan were among those who went to the observation. The finance minister’s office said Dr. Thomas Isaacs had no significant health problems. The source of the Finance Minister’s COVID could not be traced.
After COVID confirmed, Dr. Thomas Isaac was admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. The finance minister is being housed in a special COVID treatment room set up for VVIPs at the Medical College Hospital. The health department will look into where COVID got his infection. COVID has not been confirmed by any of the minister’s staff at present.
