Thiruvananthapuram: There is a change in the way of reporting only after the vacancy in PSC. The PSC has clarified that the vacancies of one year should be reported in advance.
This year, the method of reporting vacancies that may arise from January 1 to December 31, 2023 before the 30th of this month will begin this year. Leave of more than six months will also be treated as leave.
Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Asha Thomas issued an order in this regard. Vacancies reported to PSC should not be filled up through recruitment, the order said. The number and date of vacancies reported to the PSC should be communicated to the Civil Service Reforms Department. Leave for more than six months should be treated as leave and reported to the PSC.
There is also a new proposal that all vacancies arising while a rank list is in existence should be filled from that list itself. No temporary appointment in PSC list. If any post has PSC rank list, appointment to that post on daily wage basis, on contract basis or through employment exchange shall not be allowed. The instruction also states that the number of vacancies should be reported to the department on December 1.
