Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rain is likely in the state today. A yellow alert has been issued in 10 districts. The Central Meteorological Department has also warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Idukki tomorrow.
A yellow alert has been issued today in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts. Showers with isolated thundershowers are also possible.
An orange alert has been issued in Idukki tomorrow. Nine districts are on yellow alert. A yellow alert has been issued in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Wayanad districts.
The low pressure over the southwest Bay of Bengal near the northeast Sri Lankan coast has turned into a strong depression. As a result of this, the Central Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of widespread rain in the state from today till Monday.
Heavy rain and thundershowers are likely in isolated places. Strong low pressure will move in the northwest direction till tomorrow morning and move towards the Puducherry coast of Tamil Nadu. Then, on November 12 and 13, the Central Meteorological Department said that it is likely to move through the areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala in a west-northwest direction.
Fishing is not allowed on Kerala-Lakshadweep coasts on November 13 and 14, 2022. The Central Meteorological Department has informed us that there is no warning on fishing in the coast of Karnataka.
