Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rains will continue in the state till Monday, the Met Office said. The possibility of isolated heavy rains is forecast. The Central Meteorological Department has forecast isolated showers in Kollam, Ernakulam, and Malappuram districts for the next three hours.
A yellow alert has been declared in Kollam and Alappuzha districts tomorrow. A yellow alert has been declared in Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts on Saturday and in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Idukki districts on Sunday. The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains in hilly areas as well. The Central Meteorological Department has said that fishing is not allowed off the coast of Kerala and Lakshadweep and fishing is not allowed off the coast of Karnataka. The risk of thunderstorms is high between 2 pm and 10 pm. Therefore, caution is issued.
