Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rain warning again in the state. The Central Meteorological Department has warned of thunder-showers from Monday to Thursday.
The yellow alert will be issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts on Monday and in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam districts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Yellow alert in hilly areas but isolated heavy rains, similar to orange alert. Caution should be exercised in areas where there has been good rainfall in the last few days.
The state is expected to receive 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rainfall at various places. The depression that formed in the Arabian Sea is now in the Middle East. There is also a cyclone in the Bay of Bengal near the Andaman Sea. But the current indications are that these may not be such a problem for Kerala. Due to their presence, the Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu coasts received heavy rainfall and floods. Andhra Pradesh is still in a flood-like situation.
