Bengaluru: In Karnataka, a cattle dealer was allegedly killed by cow protectors on the charge of cow smuggling. The incident took place on Saturday in Satannur in the Ramanagara district of Karnataka. Idris Pasha, a native of Satannur, was found dead on the road. The police registered a case against Puneet Karehalli and other known persons.
According to the police FIR, Puneet had been harassing Pasha continuously demanding Rs 2 lakh. Pasha was also told to go to Pakistan if he could not pay. According to the police, the murder that shook the country took place.
A journalist named Imran Khan released the information about the murder. On the night of March 31, Idris Pasha was taking cows in a cart. Puneeth Karehalli and his team intercepted this vehicle. It was alleged that the cows were being taken for slaughter. He shouted at Idris Pasha to go to Pakistan. Then Idris Pasha was brutally beaten and left on the road. The video was circulated on social media the other day.
Then Idris Pasha’s body was found on the road. After Pasha’s death, there was a big protest in the area. Relatives of Idris Pasha protested in front of the Sathanur police station with the dead body. Following this, the police registered a case against Puneet Karehalli.
