Mumbai: Comedian Kunal Kamra has been granted interim bail in the case of making controversial remarks against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The bail was granted by the Madras High Court. The bail is till April 7 in the case registered in Mumbai.
Kamra was talking about the political situation in Maharashtra and the elections. While talking about the split between Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party, he said that the one who started all this was a traitor.
What he did to the Maharashtra elections was that first Shiv Sena broke away from BJP, then Shiv Sena broke away from Shiv Sena itself, and NCP broke away from NCP. Thus, 9 buttons appeared in front of the voters… Everyone was confused, he said.
After the remark, Shiv Sena workers vandalized Kamra’s studio and threatened him. The threat was that they would not allow you to walk anywhere in India. The Shiv Sena worker called Kamra’s phone and threatened that wherever he was seen, he would destroy him like he destroyed the studio.
However, Kamra’s response was that he was currently in Tamil Nadu and that if he had the courage, he would come to Tamil Nadu.
