Palakkad: The Department of Motor Vehicles has been permitted to run a bus service in the state without a conductor. In Palakkad Kadankavu, permission was denied for a bus operating without a conductor.
But the Department of Motor Vehicles is now adamant that the new test should not be blocked. Thomas Kadankavil, the owner of the bus, had decided to run the service with the conductor following an earlier instruction. However, Thomas Kadankavil told the media that the bus would run without a conductor in the event of a new directive.
The first CNG bus service in the district was launched last Sunday without a conductor. The service was scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, a request was made by the Department of Motor Vehicles to suspend the service, stating that it was illegal to operate the service without a conductor. As there is no conductor, the new system allows passengers to deposit the fare in a box placed on the bus. Those without money can also travel. It is enough to invest in the next few days.
