Thiruvananthapuram: A map containing the survey number of the areas included in the buffer zone has been published. A map of the buffer zone around the protected area, excluding human settlements and structures, was published earlier. The map with the survey number has been published now. Each institution is assigned a different color on the map. Complaints in this regard can be filed from January 7.
The term of the committee to carry out the site inspection and prepare the report has also been extended. The term of the committee chaired by Justice Radhakrishnan Thottathil has been extended. The order was extended till February 8 next year. Earlier it was announced that the term will end on December 30. It was decided in a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister earlier to extend the term.
Minister AK Saseendran had said that the steps related to the buffer zone would be completed soon. Committee will be formed at the ward level for field verification. Inspection will be done as soon as the complaint is received, the minister said.
