Bengaluru: The Karnataka government will impose restrictions on the Kerala-Karnataka border journey from today. The covid negative certificate will be mandatory and border checks will be carried out.
The Karnataka government has decided to tighten controls following the second wave of Covid warnings. Passengers who arrived at the Thalappadi border yesterday were also instructed to obtain an RTPCR negative certificate from today.
The restraining order comes as proceedings are underway on a petition filed in the Karnataka High Court challenging the travel ban imposed in February.
