New Delhi: Survivor approaches Supreme Court for change of trial court in the actress assault case.
The lawyer said that the survivor is convinced that justice has not been served by the High Court. Adv. Sanjay P stated that he did not agree with the assessment of the High Court that the concern was raised by the media in Survivor.
It is not enough that justice is done, it is necessary to be convinced that justice has been done. The survivor’s lawyer said there are good reasons to be concerned about getting justice from the trial court. The lawyer responded that he will convince the Supreme Court of everything.
The High Court rejected the survivor’s request to change the trial court. The action of the High Court stated that there is no substance in the allegations against the trial court judge. The survivor’s lawyer requested that the details of the judgment dismissing the petition not be published, but the court refused. The court rejected the survivor’s motion, accepting the defendant’s argument that there was no such subordination. The order also drew severe criticism from the media. The High Court criticized the media for overstepping the bounds and giving news without understanding the court proceedings. Such media reports are the basis of survivors’ concerns. The court also said that the judiciary should be allowed to conduct trials without external interference.
