Kochi: High Court adjourned Pulsar Suni’s bail plea in the actress assault case. The High Court said that the bail petition is being considered as per the instructions of the Supreme Court. Various judgments favor the right of the accused.
The court also pointed out that bail will become a right when the accused remains in jail without trial for six years. But the government asked the court not to grant bail to Pulsar Suni.
Last time, the High Court had directed that statements against Pulsar Suni, including those of the survivor, should be produced in the petition. Pulsar Suni argues that he is eligible for bail as he has been an undertrial prisoner for six years.
At the same time, the trial court judge Honey M Varghese asked the Supreme Court for another six months to complete the witness examination in the case. Dileep gave an affidavit in the Supreme Court showing that the reasons given by the prosecution for the trial are false. Dileep also objected to questioning Kavya Madhavan’s father and mother.
