Thiruvananthapuram: Grace marks to be given for SSLC, higher secondary exams have been fixed. The education department has decided to give 3 to 100 marks considering the achievement in competitions from state to international level. At the same time, one or two bonus points were given for Plus One entry, taking account of achievement in some national sports competitions.
The move comes in response to criticism that Grace Mark holders are getting double benefits. Provisions have also been made to consider the achievement of national state competition in class 8th or 9th in class 10th. If you are applying on the basis of 8th class merit, then you have to produce the certificate of having competed in 9th or 10th district level. If they qualify by participating in various events, only their highest marks will be considered.
