Bengaluru: Karnataka has stepped up security measures in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. As part of this, Karnataka has imposed restrictions on flights and trains from five states. Services from states where the virus is high are restricted.
Karnataka has restricted its flights and trains from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh to Rajasthan.
The list of states have been prepared on a priority basis. Maharashtra has the highest number of patients in the country. Karnataka Law Minister Madhuswamy said that about 30-40 percent of the people in Maharashtra had confirmed the virus. After Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu have control. Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are behind this.
