Bengaluru: Karnataka has withdrawn its controversial order not to admit patients from Kerala. Karnataka has directed the people not to be admitted to hospitals in Mangalore. Karnataka gave this directive in writing to hospitals.
Patients and vehicles from Kerala were banned on April 2. Karnataka had said that the decision was taken after considering the safety of the people. There was a widespread protest against the order.
Meanwhile, the decision to open the borders is yet to be decided. The Supreme Court had rejected the Kerala High Court’s order to open the borders.
