New Delhi: India will supply hydroxychloroquine to 13 countries. India has released a list of 13 foreign countries that exported in the first phase. The drug is exported to the US, Spain, Germany, Behrin, Brazil, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Seychelles, Mauritius and the Dominican Republic.
The US had asked India to export 48 lakh tablets, but India had sanctioned 35.82 lakh tablets. These were shipped to the US. Besides, nine metric tonnes of components were exported for drug manufacturing.
Hydroxychloroquine was found to be very effective against COVID resistance. Several countries have approached India to export the drug.
