India has revoked visas granted to Chinese nationals and foreigners residing in China in the wake of coronavirus. Anyone planning to visit India should contact the Embassy of Bai Jing or the Consulate in Shanghai or Guang Cho. For new visa, should contact the Indian Embassy in Beijing,
Currently, Chinese nationals in India and those traveling to China after January 15 should contact the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Indian Embassy.
The embassy and consulates have been getting a lot of questions about travel from Chinese citizens and foreign nationals who have visited China for the past two weeks. They are also looking into whether they can use the existing single / multiple entry visas to travel to India. However, the existing visa is invalid and new ones must be applied through the Embassy / Consulate.
It is also advised to contact the Visa Section at the Embassy of Beijing or the Indian Consulates in China to verify the validity of the visa before visiting India.
India has suspended online visa services for Chinese nationals and foreigners in China. The Embassy announced on its official Twitter page that following current developments, travel to India with an e-visa has been suspended and will apply to Chinese passport holders and foreigners residing in China. Visas have been revoked immediately following this procedure.
