New Delhi: ZyCoV-D, the second vaccine developed in India, will be launched in September. This is the sixth Covid vaccine to be approved in the country. The DNA vaccine developed by the Ahmedabad – based Zydus Cadila Company, was approved by the Drug Controller General of India. With this, the manufacturers are preparing to launch it in the market.
The effectiveness is 66 percent. At the same time the price is not fixed. The company has said it will announce the price by next week. The company has said it will produce one crore doses per month by October.
ZyCoV-D vaccine should be taken in three doses. The interval between injections is 28 days. The vaccine is a non-injection needle-free vaccine.
