Lucknow: Seven people were killed when a vehicle collided head-on with a vehicle on the Yamuna Expressway here on Saturday.
Two people were injured. A Wagoner car carrying nine people collided with another vehicle. Three men, three women and a child were killed in the accident. All were pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident took place at Naujil near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place on Saturday morning. The Wagoner was traveling from Agra to Noida when it met with an accident. Indications are that they were going to attend the wedding. The car was completely destroyed due to the impact of the accident. The cause of the accident is not yet clear.
The injured were taken out after the wrecked car was smashed. The condition of those undergoing treatment is critical. Police said they could not identify the victims and were trying to locate family members. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
